The “Open Mic” voice search competition is held at “Jackson Hall” – Grand West Casino every Wednesday night for 12 weeks.This is the second year and every week 3 of the contestants go through to the finals.It is open to all except professionals. There is a Grand Prize of R30,000.00 to be won this year.

Friday at 7pm at Velvet upon Tweed Boutique Theatre, 5 Tweed rd Newlands: wine tasting, showcasing the wines of Belfield and Highlands Road Wineries, with jazz by Mike Laatz. Bookings:phone Lainey 082 434 3489 Soup, breads, cheeses and wine tasting: R60 per person.
From 4pm, Virtual Jazz Reality (VJR) play at the Pepper Club, Pepper street. R60 includes oysters and a glass of bubbly.
